Onboarding Flow

The onboarding process guides you through setting up your CoCloud account step by step. This comprehensive guide covers the complete onboarding journey from account creation to first use.

Onboarding Overview

The onboarding process consists of several key steps:

Step 1: Mobile Verification

After account creation, you'll need to verify your mobile number.

Process

  1. Enter Mobile Number

    • Enter your mobile number with country code
    • Ensure the number is correct and active
  2. Receive OTP

    • An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your mobile
    • OTP is valid for a limited time (usually 5-10 minutes)
  3. Enter OTP

    • Enter the 6-digit OTP received
    • Click Verify to proceed
  4. Verification Complete

    • Once verified, you can proceed to the next step

If you don't receive the OTP:

  • Check if your mobile number is correct
  • Ensure you have network coverage
  • Wait a few minutes and request a new OTP
  • Check if the number has any restrictions

Troubleshooting Mobile Verification

OTP Not Received

  • Verify mobile number is correct
  • Check network connectivity
  • Wait 2-3 minutes before requesting again
  • Try resending OTP

OTP Expired

  • Request a new OTP
  • Complete verification within the time limit
  • Ensure you're entering the latest OTP

Invalid OTP

  • Double-check the digits entered
  • Ensure no extra spaces
  • Request a new OTP if needed

Step 2: Billing Information

Provide your billing details for account setup.

Required Information

Personal/Company Details

  • Full Name or Company Name
  • Address (Street, City, State, ZIP)
  • Country
  • Phone Number

Additional Information

  • Tax ID (if applicable)
  • Company Registration Number (for businesses)

Billing Information

Your billing information is used for invoicing and account management. Ensure all details are accurate to avoid issues with payments and invoices.

Step 3: Tally Version Selection

Choose the Tally version you want to use.

Available Options

  • Tally Prime: Latest version with enhanced features
  • Tally ERP 9: Previous stable version
  • Other Versions: Additional versions as available

Selection Process

  1. View Available Versions

    • Review the list of available Tally versions
    • Check version features and compatibility
  2. Select Version

    • Choose the version that meets your requirements
    • Consider compatibility with your data
  3. Confirm Selection

    • Review your selection
    • Confirm to proceed

You can change the Tally version later from App Management settings, but it's recommended to select the correct version during onboarding.

Step 4: Plan Selection

Choose between trial and paid plans.

Trial Plan

Features:

  • Limited duration (typically 7-30 days)
  • Full feature access
  • No credit card required
  • Perfect for testing CoCloud

Activation:

  • Click Start Trial
  • Trial begins immediately
  • Full access to all features

Features:

  • Full subscription access
  • Multiple plan options
  • Monthly or yearly billing
  • Additional features and support

Step 5: Subscription Activation

After selecting your plan, activate your subscription.

Trial Activation

  1. Review Trial Terms

    • Check trial duration
    • Review trial limitations (if any)
  2. Activate Trial

    • Click Activate Trial
    • Wait for activation confirmation
  3. Access Portal

    • Once activated, you'll be redirected to the dashboard
    • Start using CoCloud immediately
  1. Complete Payment

    • Process payment through the payment gateway
    • Wait for payment confirmation
  2. Payment Verification

    • System verifies payment
    • Confirmation email sent
  3. Subscription Active

    • Subscription becomes active
    • Access all features immediately

Step 6: Initial Configuration

After subscription activation, configure your first instance.

Instance Setup

  1. Name Your Instance

    • Enter a descriptive name
    • This helps identify your instance
  2. Configure Settings

    • Set up basic instance settings
    • Configure user limits if needed
  3. Create First User (if Admin)

    • Create your first instance user
    • Set up user permissions

Onboarding Checklist

Use this checklist to ensure you complete all steps:

  • Account created successfully
  • Email verified
  • Mobile number verified
  • Billing information entered
  • Tally version selected
  • Plan selected (Trial or Paid)
  • Subscription activated
  • Instance configured
  • First user created (if Admin)
  • Dashboard accessed

Common Onboarding Issues

Cannot Proceed Past Mobile Verification

Solutions:

  • Verify mobile number is correct
  • Check network connectivity
  • Request new OTP
  • Contact support if issue persists

Payment Processing Failed

Solutions:

  • Verify payment method details
  • Check sufficient funds/credit limit
  • Try different payment method
  • Contact billing support

Plan Not Activating

Solutions:

  • Wait a few minutes for processing
  • Check email for confirmation
  • Refresh the page
  • Contact support with transaction ID

After Onboarding

Once onboarding is complete:

  1. Explore Dashboard: Familiarize yourself with the dashboard
  2. Set Up Backup: Configure Google Drive backup
  3. Create Users: Set up additional users if needed
  4. Configure Security: Set up security rules
  5. Start Using: Begin working with your accounting software
